Stock Options
We provide independent valuations for stock option purposes, including determining exercise prices and complying with IRC Section 409A and SFAS 123R.  In valuing such options, Gordon Associates uses methodologies endorsed by the SEC, the AICPA and accounting firms. 
 

Goodwill Impairment Analysis
Gordon Associates provides independent valuations of goodwill in connection with SFAS 141 and SFAS 142, which changed the way goodwill is treated for past and future acquisitions.  These FASB statements require goodwill to be tested at least annually for impairment, necessitating an independent valuation.

Litigation Support
Gordon Associates can provide valuations of financial losses and/or lost profits incurred by business owners in situations such as partnership disputes, contract breaches, franchise terminations, lender liability, casualty losses and similar business problems that often result in litigation.

Fairness Opinions
Gordon Associates provides independent fairness opinions for companies engaged in proposed transactions when the price and transaction are subject to scrutiny by government agencies, business owners or third parties.

Expert Testimony or Arbitration
In conjunction with our other services, the professionals at Gordon Associates provide expert testimony and assist attorneys in discovery matters. In some instances, we act as arbitrators to help resolve disputes.
